Title: Senior Revenue Accountant
Reporting to: VP, Controller
Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Our Finance team is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to support the accounting and reporting of revenue recognition, particularly related to SaaS offerings. This position will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with ASC 606, managing contract review procedures, preparing accurate and timely revenue schedules, and streamlining revenue-related processes. Responsibilities:
- Revenue Ownership: Lead the end-to-end revenue cycle, ensuring all analysis and reporting comply with US GAAP and ASC 606.
- AI Transformation: Actively leverage AI tools to automate contract reviews, streamline billing templates, and perform advanced revenue variance analysis.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to review complex agreements and provide insights on actual vs. forecasted revenue.
- Systems Management: Maintain revenue and billing schedules within NetSuite, ensuring seamless data flow from Salesforce and other upstream tools.
- Close & Audit: Own monthly revenue close processes, reconcile deferred revenue, and prepare audit-ready schedules and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Design and implement automated internal controls and workflows to increase efficiency in billing and revenue operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CPA track required.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years concentrated in SaaS or Technology revenue recognition
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, NetSuite , and Excel; experience with Salesforce or FloQast is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in using AI tools to optimize accounting workflows
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy and Federal, State, and local regulations.
- US citizenship or permanent residency required.

Base salary is dependent on many factors including, but not limited to education, experience and skills. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
