Location/Travel: This is a remote position with a strong preference for San Francisco Bay area, Mid-Atlantic, or Northeast US. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

 

Opportunity: 

In this newly established leadership role, Get Well is seeking a VP, Data & Analytics who will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive  data and analytics strategy that aligns with and enhances overall business priorities. The VP, Data & Analytics will oversee the data and analytics team, ensuring reporting requirements and data infrastructure across Get Well products offer a clear road map to demonstrate the value across of our offerings This team partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to provide critical business insights across sales, client success, product, engineering and more.

The ideal candidate will lead by example - effectively collaborating across the organization while also sitting side by side with their team to solve complex problems and develop products in an innovative, agile, fast-paced way.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Get Well’s strategic direction and vision for data and analytics by defining data needs, drawing insights from the exploration of data, and feeding requirements back to product teams to make modifications to collect or leverage data in new beneficial ways.
  • Partner with senior leadership across Get Well to map business challenges and opportunities to known and unknown data and translate these business needs to technical requirements.  
  • Design, build, and own a scalable data infrastructure and architecture strategy to support company-wide analysis and reporting across products, including the development of data lakes to store and transform raw data that can be transformed into structured data ready for ML
  • Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and machine learning algorithms to extract valuable insights from data 
  • Lead Data & Analytics team to design and build automated analytics tools and self-service dashboards to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and customer success
  • Manage, recruit, develop and retain the data and analytics team; leading them to provide data-driven insights to leadership and stakeholders across a wide range of areas. 
  • Communicate complex data analysis and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain a mindset of continuous learning and growing in the data & analytics space, focusing on business problems that require making sense of large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards in all analytics solutions
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in AI/Machine Learning, data science, statistics, mathematics, or in a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science or data engineering leadership
  • Demonstrated domain knowledge within the health tech space; broad understanding of payers and providers; ability to dig into and grasp the specific complexities of healthcare data
  • Established track record of building and leading high-performing data teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
  • In-depth understanding of modern data governance, security, and compliance best practices, with the ability to balance data accessibility with data integrity for data-driven projects.
  • Experience with EMR data highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to ‘translate’ between the data and the business, via layman’s terminology of complex analytical methods
  • A strong interest in analyzing and interpreting structured and unstructured data, drawing conclusions, and building strategic insights based on quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy and Federal, State, and local regulations

Compensation will be highly competitive and dependent upon many factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, and skills. The estimated pay scale for this position is between $235,000 and $285,000 in base salary, plus bonus potential.
