Title: Vice President, AI

 

Reporting to: Chief Product Officer

Location/Travel: This position can be based remotely. Strong preference for San Francisco Bay area, Mid-Atlantic, or Northeast US. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

 

Opportunity: 

Get Well is looking to add a Head of AI to our growing team. The ideal candidate will effectively apply their deep AI and ML knowledge to inform the development and delivery of products across the Get Well portfolio. Through their in-depth knowledge of the unique needs and challenges facing healthcare providers, this candidate will partner closely with internal product and engineering teams to ensure Get Well’s products continuously evolve to stay ahead of the demands of an increasingly dynamic and complex healthcare market. This leader will apply AI to product design and development, embracing and leveraging evolving AI technologies and collaborating with engineering and product teams to create disruptive AI products that deliver surplus value to patients, providers and caregivers.

The ideal candidate will lead by example - effectively collaborating across the organization while also sitting side by side with their team to solve complex problems and develop products in an innovative, agile, fast-paced way.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage deep technical expertise in ML and AI to oversee all aspects of Get Well’s AI Strategy
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to leverage AI models in building high value products from ideation to execution and launch
  • Develop and deploy high-performing production AI and ML products to large health systems
  • Integrate AI models into EHR workflows of nurses and physicians (primarily Epic)
  • Architect and ship cutting edge AI systems using latest technologies and multiple sources of internal and external data
  • Maintain a continuous understanding of newest AI innovations and practically infuse innovations into technical roadmap
  • Lead the AI and ML Teams, attracting and retaining world class technical talent
  • Effectively lead teams both offshore and onshore, driving teams to develop product in an innovative, agile, fast-paced manner
  • Integrate AI, Copilot, and other team efficiencies at scale
  • Execute AI and overall product strategy with a “Customer-First”  mindset; carefully considering provider, patient, product design, and usability in every technical decision
  • Regularly interact with customers to obtain product feedback and maintain a pulse on client priorities, ultimately ensuring every phase of product development is customer-backed
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; engineering degree in CS or AI is a plus.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in product management or product development leadership
  • Demonstrated success leveraging AI and ML to build and deliver high value products within healthcare technology
  • Experience specifically with LLMs, vector databases, newest AI evolution, research and releases
  • Experience building and managing international teams
  • Demonstrated experience working in the healthcare space developing and delivering products designed for health systems
  • Demonstrated success in developing and deploying models in the context of EHR workflows
  • Understanding of healthcare (AI regulations, requirements) and its unique areas
  • Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy and Federal, State, and local regulations

Compensation will be highly competitive and dependent upon many factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, and skills. The estimated pay scale for this position is between $250,000 and $300,000 in base salary, plus bonus potential.
